Chopin Ballade No. 4 for Smaller Hands

This edition is the same as our standard blue edition but transcribed for smaller hands. This is one of Chopin’s most difficult pieces, requiring great virtuosity to play it convincingly. Hence, the even greater difficulty in transcribing it for smaller hands. There are some unusual changes for the transcription, but their purpose is to make the music sound as close to the original as possible in performance. I feel that I have achieved this. The analysis of Chopin’s playing touched on in our standard edition is carried over to this edition as well.
